Food Project is continuing for the month of September. Some items have been eliminated from the food pack to help the money reach further.

What if you could not meet with people for 5 months? How would you survive? All meetings, private and public have been prohibited in Peru since March 16th. While in some countries this would be be viewed as an infringement on freedom, here it is viewed as caring for each other and not spreading the virus.

Celebrating with volunteers after a long day of packing. This particular week we gave food for 900 families.

Potatoes and more potatoes! Depending on the week we divide 5000-6000 pounds of potatoes into 6.6 pound sacks.

Each of these persons represent a family of 4. They are recipients of a food pack for this week. There are over 1300 people on our list to recieve food.

With diligent effort we have dropped the price per pack from $10 to $6.75. A big thank you to those of you who have given!

Quaratine and Food Pack Project.

One of 3 truck loads purchased to make 150 packs.

Taking a break. First day April 3 we packed 60 packs to distribute.

A housed where we delivered a food pack. The neighbors saw us and came begging for help. Tears shed – they didn’t have any food.

Soldiers at a road block checking ID, travel permissions. Seeing weaponry is not unusual. Road blocks are about every kilometer.
Kid’s Club

Kids are engaged in games for 30 miniutes until all arrive. They can earn points which are exchange for snack bits.

The kids gather together for a Bible teaching or skit like Denver, the robot; the Three Hebrew Children; or Elijah on Mount Carmel with the prophets of Baal.
(email me at the4schrocks@gmail.com for a video link to these plays.)

Then they gather into pre-assigned of 2-3 kids per group to apply the lesson and pray.
Afterward they choose between 3 activities- crafts, cooking or preparing a snack for everyone, or a sport game of fútbol (soccer) or floorball.
